With the third pick in the 1984 NBA Draft, the Chicago Bulls selected shooting guard Michael Jordan. In his rookie campaign, Jordan was already setting franchise records for the Bulls, on his way to winning the NBA Rookie of the Year Award. Averaging 28 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 6 assists a game, MJ led the Bulls from being a losing team to a playoff contender. Giving the fans a taste of the greatness to come, Jordan was voted an NBA All-Star and was selected to the NBA All-Rookie First Team and All-NBA Second Team.
