During the 1987 Draft, the Bulls would make a trade to acquire rookie Scottie Pippen to pair with young phenom Michael Jordan that would change the landscape of basketball for years to come. In just his third year in the league, Jordan led the NBA in scoring as well as steals. This secured Jordan his first league MVP award as well as his first Defensive Player of the Year award.
